ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Founded on the principle that a young person's environment should not define their potential, One Kid One Dream One Chance

is a nonprofit mentoring organization committed to empowering youth from underserved and high-risk communities

Our Founder

Grew up in a low-income neighborhood plagued with drugs, violence, homelessness, and limited opportunity. Like many youth in similar communities, he was surrounded by negative influences and daily reminders of how easily one could fall into a cycle of hopelessness. Despite these challenges, he made a personal decision to break the cycle and become more than his circumstances. With strong personal values and determination, he chose to lead, to strive for excellence, and become an example for others.

That decision led him to a career in law enforcement, where for over a decade, he has dedicated himself not only for public safety but to building meaningful connections within the community...particularly with the youth. He saw the potential that existed in so many young people, often hidden behind anger, fear, or lack of guidance. Through mentorship and trust-building, he recognized a powerful truth: with the right influence, even one voice of encouragement can change a young persons path.
